The Wick Casa Featured on Design Sponge

Guys! A dream came true for our family here in Portland! The Wick Casa is featured on Design Sponge today. Check out the write up, they did a bang up job to showcase the feel of our little home!

I  want to share some other images from the house that didn’t make the cut for the piece, but I thought deserved a little shout out nonetheless. And a HUGE thank you to my friend Jack Wineinger for his amazing photography to help bring our home to life on screen!

  1. First time reader! And admittedly I saw the photo of your kitchen on DS & that’s what drew me in! I have the same style of kitchen cabinets but mine are pretty worn. Do you have any tips on restoring that style of wood? A kitchen redo is years away for us so any tips you have would be appreciated! Great feature & excted to find your site! Congrats!

    • Hi Jordan! Thank you so much for your kind words :) The vintage cabinet situation is definitely a source of struggle for me. I truly want to embrace them, but if I had the option, I would probably do an entire remodel. But in the meantime, I cleaned them with mild soap and took the hardware off and soaked them in vinegar and mild dish detergent. I wish I had wise words to offer, but that is about all we did to make them all they can be :)
