It’s a Girl’s Dinosaur Birthday Party – RAWR!

Hi Guys!  Over the weekend we celebrated Amelia’s 3rd birthday! When we asked her about a month or so ago what kind of party she would like to have, without hesitation she said, “A Dinosaur Party”! So, what to do when given a theme that is out of the realm of my normal party planning? Pintrest of course. There are so many cute ideas and decorations for boy dinosaur parties, but what about for the girls? I had my work cut out for me!

The first thing I knew I needed to do was get her a Birthday outfit, because that is what a personal stylist does right?! I found this amazing plain white 100% cotton made in the USA City Threads dress on Amazon. I then searched far and wide to find a cute iron on dinosaur applique and I found these cute patches from Seed Stitches on Etsy. Her tights and sneakers are from Zara. Here is the best image I could find of Amelia on her special day:

We were only having a few family members join in the fun celebration, so I didn’t really want to go over the top with décor or spending too much money. So here is what I came up with:

{Ameliaceratops Picture from Designs By AmandaLee on Etsy, Circle Hats, Candles, Chalk Banner and Printed Tape (I made the special hat with paper I had on hand) on Hat from Target, Black and White Stripe Sofia Fabric by the yard, straws and napkins from IKEA, Number 3 balloon from Urban Outfitters, and the Ice Cream Cake is from Baskin Robbins}

We served yummy crock pot chicken tacos with fixings and chips and salsa (some of Amelia’s favorite food items). We kept it simple and it was hit! So there you have it guys! Amelia is 3 and I have no idea where the time has gone, but I can tell you, I am liking where the path is leading us! What kind of birthday party are you having for your child this year? Are they requesting anything specific? I would love to hear from you!
