Hi guys! I know you have probably been bombarded with Valentine’s Day DIY crafts, so I wanted to change it up a bit today. Amelia has been going to her daycare since she was about 6 months old and she has made some really close friends. Sadly, our new house is a bit too far from her current daycare to continue going there. Her last day is tomorrow and I must admit I am a bit emotional about this too!
So, I set out to find an age appropriate gift for her sweet little friends. When I think of leaving someone, I think of let’s stay in touch kind of things. So, instantly I thought of paper and pencils. I then stumbled upon the Forget me Not flower seeds and thought it would be the perfect addition to the gift to say farewell to her friends.
Here is what you will need:
Flower Seed Packets
How it’s Done:
Start with the pencils and tie two together with a small piece of string, twine, thread, etc.
Next, write a little note on your tag. Make sure you have a hole in the tag to put your twine through. I wrote, “Let’s stay in touch! I will miss our school days together! Love, Amelia”.
Finally, place seed packet on little note pad and use twine to wrap it all together:
It’s as easy as that! This was a super affordable little gift idea, in fact I picked this all up at the Dollar Store! It’s a gift without all the fuss, but hopefully her friends will remember their time together and stay in touch! What crafty ideas have you had for when you move?
